Capturing a great portrait is reliant on the photographer making a distinct effort to connect with the subject. Our photographers will go to great lengths to get to understand the subject either prior to the shoot or during.
There are occasions when its would be best that we bring in location studio lights to a very scenic location and having a full on outdoor studio session. These can be subtle and contemporary. Or full on avant garde shoot with props and additional people, to create a surreal scene or something truly unique. These shoots are locally in and around Nelspruit/White River area. How does payment work?
We require a 50% booking fee at the time of booking to secure your spot and the remainder is due on the day of the shoot.
Do you travel & what are the charges?
Yes, we love to travel! We do require you to cover flight, accommodation and rental car/ travel expenses. We are happy to stay in an Air-BnB to save costs, because we do not spend a lot of time at the accommodation. For booking, we will book our own flights and rental car. You are welcome to book accommodation if need be. We will be sure to confirm all prices and logistics with you before we go ahead and book.
How many images do you include?
We don’t like to put a specific number on the number of images that we deliver, we believe in quality over quantity. We will promise a minimum based on the number of hours that we will be shooting for. We promise to always include plenty of images of everything we capture.
Can I get unedited images?
The short answer is no, you can’t. The longer answer is an unedited image is an unfinished image and it’s not what you paid us for.
You saw something in our work, and we deliver that work only in the finished form.
Can you photoshop me to make me look thinner?
No, we believe in promoting a positive body image and self-love. We will remove temporary blemishes such as pimples, scars, bruises, etc. as best as we can. If there is something that you are especially self-conscious about, please let us know and we will do my best to take note and remember while I am posing you.
What is the turnaround time?
For couple or family photo sessions it takes around 2-3 weeks. We try to get them back to you as soon as possible while making sure we give each image the time it deserves.
How do I receive the images?
We upload all of the images to an online gallery for you to download and share as you please. The images will remain in the gallery for one month for you to download.
What if we need to cancel or reschedule our shoot or wedding?
If you’d like to reschedule, please note that our booking fee is legally non-refundable, however, if we are available for your new date, we would be happy to reschedule. As for cancellations, the booking fee is unfortunately legally non-refundable.
What is the best time of day for photos?
Generally speaking, the prettiest, softest light is approximately 1.5 hours prior to sunset (aka magic hour). Think of it this way, the higher the sun is in the sky, the harsher the light will be. So, as the sun approaches the horizon, you’ll get that soft golden light which is the most flattering on skin tones. Sunrise is always beautiful too, but let’s be honest, who’s even up that early?
